Ama S.r.l. was founded in 1953 by Mr. Mario Ziribotti, a true passionate entrepreneur who turned a very simple idea into a strong business: to provide exacting “made in Italy” manufacturing standards and quality control to fashion brands, in the market for producing their branded handbag and leather accessories.

In the 50s Ama S.r.l. started to produce high quality exclusive designs for various Italian and Japanese brands and retailers. In the 60s, it started to work most notably with Gucci in a cooperation that lasted more than forty years until Gucci’s group was taken over by Kering Group.

In the 80s and 90s Ama S.r.l. grew considerably by working closely with many Italian and major international brands, many of whom have been loyal clients since then. In the early 90s the son and daughter of Mr Mario Ziribotti took over the family business and propelled it into the new millennium by successfully and organically growing it year after year.

Since 2016, Ama S.r.l. moved its headquarters into a new 7000sqm central location in Via Tortona 7 in Milan, where it locates more than ninety employees. Its multi decade experience and deep know-how of all the phases required for prototyping and manufacturing handbag and leather accessories is the result of passionate craftmanship work coupled with new software and hardware technologies second to none.

Today Ama S.r.l, with the third generation actively involved in the business, still remains true to the principles of its founder and it is entirely focused on behalf of its clients on the manufacturing side of handbag and leather accessories “made in Italy”.

AMA S.r.l. intends to develop its business by aiming to satisfy the needs and expectations of all its Stakeholders (such as shareholders, investors, suppliers, workers, customers, communities) by scrupulously committing to safeguarding Health and Safety in the workplace and protecting the Environment as part of its processes for managing both the business and operational aspects.
